Who is responsible
Bogdan Vaida is the data controller for this site. For anything on this page, or to exercise any of the rights below, write to contact@vaidabogdan.com.
What this site collects
The contact form. Your name, your email address and whatever you write in the message. It is used to read and answer your message, nothing else. The legal basis is your consent, given by sending the form. There is no mailing list here, and nothing you send is used for marketing.
Analytics. Aggregate usage of the site: pages viewed, how you arrived, approximate location from your IP address, and rough device and browser type. This is Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies in your browser. The legal basis is legitimate interest in understanding whether the site is useful.
Server logs and performance data. Standard request data, including your IP address, recorded by the hosting provider, plus anonymous page-speed measurements.
No account exists to create, no payment is taken, and no profiling or automated decision-making happens here.
Who else processes it

Some of these transfer data outside the EU. They do so under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision, depending on the provider.
Fonts are served from this domain rather than from Google Fonts, so loading the page makes no request to Google for them.
How long it is kept
Form submissions live in my email, and I keep the ones that turn into a conversation for as long as that relationship lasts. The rest are deleted within twelve months. Analytics data is retained for fourteen months, the shortest period Google Analytics 4 allows. Server logs are kept for the hosting provider's standard, much shorter, window.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask to have it corrected or deleted, ask me to restrict how it is used, object to its use, or withdraw consent at any time. Email contact@vaidabogdan.com and I will answer within one month.
You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In Romania that is the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP), dataprotection.ro.
Cookies
The analytics cookies described above are the only ones set for tracking. Turnstile may set a short-lived cookie to verify the form submission. You can block or delete all of them in your browser settings; the site works without them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. There is no archive of previous versions.
